The pension IZVORUL invites you to confidently stop by all the year round.
You will not regret!
This marvelous spot in the North – East of Transylvania has, for hundreds of years, a distinct charm, be it winter or summer, and... it “ talks “ to everyone, from soul to soul, with the voice of the forest. Whoever listens to its voice at least once will never forget it and will surely want to hear it again and again. That is why all those who passed by come back the second time and the third time… they come back merrily.
And, as nothing is at random, we dare say that the pension IZVORUL lies here because this particular place is blessed by God!
But let the past unfold:

· HISTORY·

The contemporary setting has its origins in a wagon shelter named “At the water spring”, which can be found in documents from 1776.
It was a meeting place for traders and householders: confluence point between the villages from Mures and those from Bistrita.
Here, beginning with 1777, as documents show, used to be held two annual market places, for Easter and Christmas, the custom being preserved until the end of XIX – th century. In addition to their trades, mostly agricultural, people had the chance to know one – another, to share news and make friends. That is why here there were also planned the weddings and the baptisms throughout the year.
The families from the Sieu valley and those from the Reghin area and even the Mures valley became relatives. It was said that a marriage held here was a very lucky one and lasted as a house of stone because the very place protected and blessed the young couples with the forest’s voice and the water’s sparkling.
Henceforth, the name of the place comes from the water spring that has been flowing unceasingly for over 200 years – a crystal clear water, cold, rich in mineral salts, benefactor for human health.
The cross, itself being present ever since, brings the travelers calm and peace of mind, showing that this place enjoys God’s blessing.
Today, the Cross, the Wagon and of course the Water spring stand as witnesses as if an invitation to you to let them tell about the secrets of the past, most of them only perceived and not understood completely.

· 225 years after, in May 2002, we brought back to life at IZVORUL the wonderful tradition of FAIRS but neither of cereals nor of animals, as there are plenty of them all around, but those of ART, POPULAR ART and HANDCRAFT, considering these to be much more representative for the entire area and therefore much more interesting and attractive.
That we were not wrong has been proved by the multitude of visitors and tourists who joined the first edition. Naturally, there will follow 2003, 2004-2007.
Come and see with your own eyes!
